Experience I see couples, adults and other pay-for-service clients at The Couple Zone. I also work at Child Advocates of Fort Bend, a nonprofit agency where I treat children who have experienced trauma, as well as their families. I have presented on culturally responsive therapy and have been published in the American Journal of Family Therapy. I have served on the board of the Houston Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Training I have completed additional coursework in emotionally focused therapy and am obtaining my play therapy certification. I am active in learning the latest treatment innovations and seeking continuing education to better meet my clients' needs.

Licenses I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (License No. 202073) and Licensed Professional Counselor (License No.  71226).  I am supervised by Diane Vines, LMFT, LPC, RPT-S. (License No. 5055 and No. 16863).

Education I graduated from the nationally accredited family therapy program at the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a master's degree in family therapy. I also hold a bachelor's degree in business administration and a bachelor's degree in  journalism, earned at the University of Texas at Austin.

I am a native Houstonian with a passion for helping clients heal relationships. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a journalist for 10 years. I entered both fields for similar reasons, to serve the community in which I live. I am blessed to get that chance every day.
